Monthly Competition
Submittal Guidelines

Fallbrook Camera Club hosts monthly competitions from February through November. Members may submit images in any of the following six categories:

• Color

• Monochrome

• People

• Nature (Open)

• Wildlife

• Travel

Each member may enter up to three images total, in any single category or any combination of categories. All images must be the original work of the member submitting them.

How to Submit

• Submit all images in a single email (attach up to three images).

• Entries must be received no later than 11:00 PM (Pacific Time) on the Saturday before the competition.

• The submission email address is provided to Fallbrook Camera Club members and is not posted publicly.

Judging is subjective and varies from month to month, as we use a variety of judges throughout the year. While results can be unpredictable, judges’ critiques are consistently instructional and valuable. Enter subjects you enjoy, explore the categories, and most importantly—have fun.

Image Preparation Guidelines

Image Specifications

• Maximum size: 1920 pixels wide × 1080 pixels tall

• Color space: sRGB

• Bit depth: 8-bit

• File format: JPEG

File Naming Requirements

Each image file name must follow this format, in the order shown:

Required Elements

1. Year and Month

   • Year: two digits (e.g., 26)

   • Month (three-letter abbreviation):
     Feb, Mar, Apr, May, Jun, Jul, Aug, Sep, Oct, Nov

   • Example: 26Feb

2. Category Code (in parentheses)

   • Color: (C)

   • Monochrome: (M)

   • People: (P)

   • Nature Open: (N)

   • Wildlife: (W)

   • Travel: (T)

3. Image Title

4. Maker Identification Code

   • Three lowercase letters identifying the photographer

   • Suggested: your initials (first, middle, last)

   • Must be clearly related to your name and used consistently
